Chatham hosts the national Armed Forces Day event |

The first National Armed Forces Day will take place in the award winning Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent on Saturday 27 June. The public are invited to join veterans and serving members of the Armed Forces in an amazing tribute to the service and sacrifice they have given to the country – and what is more – access to the event in The Historic Dockyard will be completely free of charge! A fantastic day out packed with ceremony, excitement, have-a-go adventure and commemoration. The day will commence with a Celebration Parade through Chatham town centre featuring contingents from the three Armed Forces led by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.
