THIS was the Princes’ second visit to Headley Court. Good on them. They have earned the right to look our wounded in the face. Every member of the armed forces appreciates this. Their visits will have been very well received and will certainly have helped morale. Yet recently a senior Army officer told me face-to-face that his primary reason for resigning his commission was because of the way his badly wounded soldiers had been treated and particularly because of the very bleak prospects they had for the remainder of their days.
